I Support You, You Support Me

Hey guys! What another glorious Wednesday! It’s almost payday and it’s almost time for my favorite holiday, MY MF’N BIRTHDAY!! PISCES GANG GANG GANG GANG! S/O to all my Piscean folks! Always saving the best for last. Yeah, Aries y’all cool or whatever being first and all that, but Piscean people take on ALL the traits of the ENTIRE zodiac! WE THE BEST! Alright, I’m done bragging about my sign for one night lol.

Black people, men and women, we MUST support each other! As of lately, I’ve been seeing on my timeline on all my social media feeds that we as black men and women don’t support each other enough. I definitely agree with this, but y’all know I’ll give my opinion towards to end. Per usual, I posted a question on Facebook and IG:

Hmmm…after reading everyone’s responses, I’m almost at a lost on how to respond. I don’t want to be cliche and agree with everything, but I can’t help but to! The main thing, and it was said twice, was OPEN COMMUNICATION. Let’s say your significant other has an idea and sure to the rest of the world it may sound crazy, but to the person you’re involved with, you would think they would support whatever crazy idea you have, right? Instead of shunning your partner’s thoughts and/or ideas, take the time to listen to what has to be said or as my supervisor would say, “Walk me through your thought process.” I feel if you have the SUPPORT from your partner, that idea could be a reality and I feel as black people, sometimes we don’t support each other when it comes to having ideas or plans that could turn into something big! You have all these other nationalities/ethnic groups of people/families that support each other when it comes to businesses and everything else, but as black men and women, I feel that’s where we sometimes lack and I won’t say it’s all of us. If we come TOGETHER AS A UNIT in what’s being discussed and if we’re open about it all, we could literally look like this:

Yeah, as y’all can clearly see, Black Panther is by far my new favorite Marvel Movie for obvious reasons, but y’all get where I’m going from the gif. This reminds me of some song lyrics from Neyo. “I’m movement by myself, but I’m force when we’re together.” Bottom line is, Black people, we HAVE TO START SUPPORTING EACH OTHER, MEN AND WOMEN!

…and Blair You Have It. Share this! Leave your comments on here and on my IG page @blairyouhaveit. Also, if there’s a topic of discussion that you want to discuss, please don’t hesitate to slide in my inbox: blairthom07@blairyouhaveit.com (that’s a zero and not the letter O).
